An interesting thing Danny Sullivan mentioned on his Oct. 27th 2008 daily search cast podcast was that Bill Tancer from Hitwise saw the popularity of the term “photos of sarah palin” and wrote a post on his blog that mentioned the words “hot photos of sarah palin.” The really interesting bit of this is that Bill saw an increase of about 90,000 visits to his blog through organic search. Coincedentally, or not, the queries for “hot photos of sarah palin” increased substantially after those visitors to Bill’s blog saw the content that mentioned the syntax “hot.”

Point is, content is a powerful thing that not only affects visitors to your site, but also influences what they continue searching for within the search engines.
